Mary-Lou McCarthy is a celebrated voiceover artist and actor, known for her bright, warm, and accessible voice that adapts effortlessly to a wide range of tones and styles. A fluent Irish speaker, she brings authenticity and energy to every project, making her a sought-after talent in the industry.
Mary-Lou’s multifaceted career spans theatre, film, television, and radio. Her standout performances include Fair City (RTÉ), Me, Mollser (Abbey Theatre), and The Heiress (The Gate). In 2022, her exceptional creativity was recognized with a prestigious Next Generation Award from the Arts Council of Ireland.
On stage, Mary-Lou has toured nationally and internationally, with acclaimed productions such as The Dead Letter Office (Civic/Everyman) and The Blue Boy (Brokentalkers). Her screen work includes Wolf (Feline Films), An Klondike (TG4), and the award-winning TV series Aifric (TG4).
As a writer, her play The Dead Letter Office premiered in 2022 and toured nationally in 2024, supported by the Arts Council. Additionally, as a Creative Associate with the Arts Council, Mary-Lou facilitates drama workshops for young people in both English and Irish, fostering the next generation of artists.
