Sue Collins is an actress, comedienne and writer. She has worked extensively in theatre and started her comedy career when she co-founded ‘The Nualas’ in 1995. They became a huge success performing all over the world, most notably The Olympia and Gaeity theatres, Dublin, The Irish Arts Centre, New York, The Melbourne, Adelaide and Singapore comedy festivals, six years at The Edinburgh festival, a 4-week run at The Lyric Hammersmith and a 64-date tour of the UK culminating with an appearance at The Royal Albert Hall. They had numerous television and radio appearances including The Ned Sherrin Show (BBC), Edinburgh Nights (BBC), The Stand-up Show (BBC),The Arts Show (BBC), The Late Late Show (RTE) and wrote and performed two six-part series for BBC Radio 4.

As a solo artist Sue was a regular writer and performer on the comedy series ‘Stand-up sketches’ for RTE radio and wrote and performed a half-hour comedy special, ‘The Plunkett-Murphys’. She wrote her one-woman comedy show Only Gorgeous and toured with Funny Girls, performing her stand-up character ‘Carmel’ which she toured Ireland with and brought to The Edinburgh Festival, The Vodafone Comedy festivals, The Cat Laughs and appeared on ‘Liffey Laughs’ (RTE). She also co-starred in the hit comedy ‘Menopause The Musical’ which ran at The Bord Gais Theatre.

TV acting credits include Raw (RTE), Soupy Norman (RTE), The School Run (TV3), The Center (RTE). Mattie ( RTE)Badly Drawn Roy (BBC), vexed (BBC). Sue starred in RTE’s mock-doc comedy pilot Inside the Crystal Ball with Pat Shortt and is also well-known for her role as the colourful character of ‘Teri’ in Faircity (RTE).

Sue is one half of comedy duo and internet hit sensation ‘Dirtbirds’ . She wrote, performed and produced four hugely successful tours all over Ireland and the UK and garnered thousands of followers over all the social media platforms with weekly postings of Dirtbirds’ hilarious comedy sketches. She co-wrote ‘Dirtbirds’ Self-Help Guide’ which was published by Hachette and co-hosts a weekly comedy podcast ‘Dangerous Irish Women’with AcastNetwork.
